Preparing for Windows 10

Extended support for Windows 7 ended on January 14, 2020. That means the operating system will no longer receive software updates, putting users at significant risk for cyber breaches and crashes.

But, if your business still operates on Windows 7, don’t worry — you’re in good company. There’s still time to transition to Windows 10 for business use before support for your current system ends, but it’s important to be proactive. To take the first step towards updating your system, get in touch with us today.

Processor Requirements

There are a few other things to consider as you prepare for the transition to Windows 10. New processors only support Windows 10, which means if you upgrade your current hardware, it may not support your current operating system. Even seventh generation processing chips, like the 7th Gen Intel Core, won’t be able to run the now antiquated OS after the Windows 7 end of life.

On the flip side, processors that are more than three or four years old won’t support Windows 10, which could necessitate upgrading the processors in all of your business computers before transitioning to the new system.

We can help with that, too. Our team is here to help make your Windows 10 migration easy.
