BLM Technologies Named Exclusive United States Distributor for Matsumura Technology US

-- Manufacturer selects BLM Technologies as exclusive reseller of counterfeit bill detectors --

ORLANDO, Nov. 15, 2005 — Minneapolis-based BLM Technologies, Inc., a single source provider of technology consulting and branch automation solutions and services for the retail banking industry, announced a strategic reseller partnership with Miami-based Matsumura Technology US, the leading supplier of counterfeit detectors in the world. BLM Technologies representatives will sell the EXC-5700 and the EXC-6700 detector models to the banking industry and government agencies. The company will also handle all customer service and product support, such as periodic upgrades.

"BLM Technologies is the right fit for us because our detectors will complement their existing product line of bank teller and back office technology," said Lee Esopakis, director of business development for Matsumura Technology US. "Also, BLM already has relationships with decision makers within banks nationwide, so they will be able to distribute the detectors to our core target market, the banking industry, quickly."

The EXC-5700 and the EXC-6700 yield a 99.999 percent accuracy rating, achieved by examining 76 unique points of authenticity on each bill. The detectors scan using Ultraviolet Rays, Lasers, Magnetic, Infrared, and other proprietary detecting techniques which check everything from paper and watermark features to magnetic and invisible ink. The EXC-5700 identifies any counterfeit U.S. dollar denomination in .7 seconds, while the EXC-6700 detects counterfeit dollars, euros, yen and one other currency of the bank's choice in less than .6 seconds per bill.Matsumura Technology's products are the only countertop detectors able to accurately detect all generations of "super notes." Super notes are the highest quality of counterfeit notes, circulated throughout the world and only recently in the United States. Super notes are available in the form of yen, euros, and dollars, and traditional scanners cannot identify them.

"The worldwide distribution of super notes could drastically disrupt the value of the dollar," said Ron Meinhardt, president of BLM Technologies. "We are dedicated to combating this spread in the United States by distributing Matsumura's detectors, and we have already received very positive feedback from financial institutions."
