Check Joggers
The use of Check Joggers in item processing will reduce the number of check processing errors in high speed check readers and sorters. Check joggers are a basic key component to running successful batches of items through any size check scanner. Every check processing center should have a check jogger installed by each check reader/sorter.
Using a check jogger for just a few seconds before processing each batch will perfectly align the checks so the bottom and side edges of the checks align. This reduces the risk of jamming and double feeding or “piggy backing” significantly. It also reduces the chance for such errors as “compression” and double detects. Check joggers that BLM sells are small and compact designed specifically for use with lower volume check scanners used by community banks and credit unions.
